Diffusion's Visualization Tools allow diffusion users visualize packet-level information from diffusion. It is based in four components:
Logging in Diffusion (version >= 3.1.3)
Network pipes to send the data to a central location using a backchannel
A program to convert this information into NAM traces
NAM, to display
In addition to allow monitoring network activity in real-time
(including specific per node statistics, such as packets sent and
received), these tools also enable users to record these traces for
later analysis and playback.
Software
Diffusion-visualization-tools-1.0.1 is the latest version of the visualization tools package and include support for diffusion >= 3.1.3. You will also need to download NAM (Network Animator). Source code for NAM (both the stand alone application as well as the complete all-in-one NS package) and binaries for various platforms can be downloaded from the NAM webpage
