S-MAC Related Papers
The following paper is our first S-MAC paper. It is one of the most widely
cited computer science papers published in 2002 according to
Citeseer
statistics.
The following paper describes the software architecture and some details
of S-MAC implementation in TinyOS on Mica motes.
Although it is before the nesC language, most of paper still applies to
the current S-MAC software.
The following paper is S-MAC journal paper. It improves S-MAC with adaptive
listen, which is able to adjust node activity according to traffic. Complete
evaluation of S-MAC performance is reported in the paper.
The following paper proposes two distributed algorithms, which can be
applied to low-duty-cyle MAC protocols, such as S-MAC. The global schedule
algorithm incrementally switches all nodes into a single, global wakeup
schedule. The fast path algorithm enables fast data forwarding along certain
paths.
