If the differences are only floating-point differences, you should be
told, and validate shouldn't fail, e.g:
> grep floating ns/tcl/test/*
test-all-template-session: echo "Differences due to
floating-point formatting are not significant."
test-all-template1: echo "Differences due to
floating-point formatting are not significant."
(Hmmm, ns 2.1b3 also has a
test-all-template-mcast: echo "Differences due to
floating-point formatting are not significant."
not present in more recent snapshots. FP significant with multicast?)
