How to install NS2.0?

Dear Madam / Sir,


  I am a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering
in Tsinghua University.I am now doing the research on the performance
analysis in high-speed networks. Thank you for your offering to us
the free software NS2.0. I will use it in network simulations.

  Today I downloaded the NS2.0(all the components required) and I
unpacked them in the listed order.My computer OS is Win 95.But when
I run "namke /f makefile.vc" as instructions, I was told that 
"invalid command name 'namke'".I found also that there are only one
executable file 'ns.exe' in the unpacked files. So I cannot install
it correctly. Would you like to tell me how to do it?
