perl script for processing tracefile? and on-line graphic viewing

Hi there, 

1. Does anybody have any sample perl scripts that do post-processing of the ns 
tracefile? 

2. I wonder if anyone has any tool that allows one to process and view the ns 
tracefile while ns is running. Here is what I want to do ideally: Run, while 
ns is running, look at the queue length, packet drop counts, etc,  graphically 
and continously.
