To my knowledge, no one is currently maintaining snoop.  :-(

I would guess that it could be repaired with fairly little work.
Perhaps someone interested in it can look at the code and repair it,
then make up a couple of test cases.

We would happily maintain it if we had a couple of test cases that
would exercise it.
