Re: RTP Scuba
RTP Scuba is an experimental receiver-based protocol for determining
receiver interest in an RTP conferencing scenario. One use of this
feedback is for sources to adapt their transmission rates in a way
that reflects the interest in order to maintain a limit on the overall
bandwidth consumed by the session.
For further details, see: Amir, McCanne, and Katz, "Receiver-driven
Bandwidth Adaptation for Light-weight Sessions", In proceedings of ACM
Multimedia '97.
