xgraph installation problem

Hi, everyone:

    I am trying to install xgraph on Caldera Open Linux. And I got an
error like:

$ make
cc    -I/usr/include         -c xgraph.c -o xgraph.o
In file included from xgraph.c:23:
xgraph.h:154: macro `rindex' used without args
xgraph.h:155: macro `index' used without args
make: *** [xgraph.o] Error 1

I have used the latest version: 12.0
Could anyone give me some advice on that? Thanks in advance.
