Installation problem with ns-allinone-2.1b5a

Hi,

I have downloaded ns-allinone-2.1b5a.tar.gz and tried to install it. I'm
new to ns and have some following questions:

1. I'd like to add some new functions in the simulator for my own
network simulation. Does ns-allinone support such a kind of development
or I have to do it with "ns from all the piece"?

2. I tried to install ns-allinone-2.1b5a in HPUX 10.20 platform but I
met problem with the error meesage:

I think the problem would be that the linker could not find the X11
library at /usr/lib/X11R4. Actually, we have installed only the  shared
library at this directory. So the question is how I can use the newer
version of X11 located at /usr/lib/X11R6 (by setting an environment
variable?) and how I can enable the shared option while installing.

Anybody knows how to resolve it? Thanks.
