developments based on ns2

Hello,

  First of all, sorry for this uninvited email!

  My name is Jason Xie, an intern student doing Ad Hoc network research in
the BellCore. I am going to do developments based on ns2. As far as the
readings I have done linked to the ns2 homepages, I see a lot of materials
on how to use ns2. I am wondering if there are any documentations or books
on the internals of ns2, e.g., programming guide. If there is one, I would
be very appreicative for your response.
