The recv function arguments

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies to the previous questions that I have asked. Does 
anyone know what the if the recv function takes an object or a slot number 
as an argument.

The recv is usually used as follows

target_->recv(p, (Handler *0));

I was wondering if target_ is an object or a slot number. Thanks in advance
