Error on running example2.tcl script using nam

Dear sir,
     I have got some problems in executing the examples involving nam. 
For eg. when I run the file example2.tcl which I downloaded from the ns2
website I got the following error.

using backward compatible Agent/CBR; use Application/Traffic/CBR instead
using backward compatible Agent/CBR; use Application/Traffic/CBR instead
ns: finish: couldn't execute "nam": no such file or directory
    while executing
"exec nam out.nam &"
    (procedure "finish" line 7)
    invoked from within
"finish"

 Please throw some light on it
