are you sure the binary you downloaded  is compatible with the platfrom
you're running on ?
maybe you can try to build the binary from source by downloading source file
from
ns-2 page

I'm a new ns-user who has a little problem.

I have downloaded xgraph_linux_binary.tar.gz, but I am not able to
execute it,
for example

[root@localhost xgraph]# ./xgraph ./examples/bar.xg
bash: ./xgraph: cannot execute binary file

Could anyone help me?
