[ns] otcl problem

Hello all....
I have installed tcl8.0.4 (seems to work) and otcl-1.a5 .
I can entry in otclsh and can define some classes there, for
example :

class car
car instproc ... { } {
......................
}

The problem is that when i try to create a new object i get the following 
error:

set a [new car]
%invalid command name "new"

Can anyone tell me what shall i change to make otcl work properly??
I separate that part from ns-2 since i want to make first some tests
before i apply any script to my simulation scenario
