[ns] Installing Murphys' patches over a pre-compiled ns

Thanks for your help..

In fact I was trying to install Sean Murphys' diffserv patch as well as rsvp/ns but was being a little bit cautious after reading the warning in the documentation that it may generate error if you untar it over a pre-compiled ns. 

my question is:
Has anyone succeeded in installing Sean Murphys' diffserv (ds-patch-ns-2.1b6.C038a.tar.gz) and rsvp/ns (updated version of Marc Greis' code: rsvp-patch-ns-2.1b6-0.5c.tar.gz) patches on a pre-compiled ns-allinone-2.1b6?

I'd really appreciate a fast reply--thanks..!
