[ns] Nam displaying bug for wired-cum-wireless simulation?

Dear ns-users,
 
I have this problem with displaying packets on the wired portion of the
simulation. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
  
Take wireless3.tcl from the NS tutorial as an example. I can only see the
wired portion of the packets iff I drag the 'time' scroll to where I
expect some packet activities would be. (obvious) However, packets can
only be seen if the timing is right, i.e., packets actually flowing
through a specific link as well as the 'step' parameter is set to no more
than 100us. Moreover, these packets will 'disappear' (visually) after
entering any node, not just the base station nodes.
 
Any help will be very much appreciated.
