nse, is a compile option in the ns directory.  Goto the ns-2.1b7a directory
and type "make nse" if all goes well ns will compile a version of nse.  To
use nse simply us nse instead of ns in your command line or executable
scripts.

Now here is the bad new I have not been successful at get nse to work under
Linux 5.2 and I have not received any help from the ns user groups dispite
multiple posting on this subject.
I suspect that very few user's are using nse.  So good luck,  if you have
success get nse to work with Linux let us know.

P.S. nse also will not work under Windows, or Solaris.

I'm working with ns-allinone-2.1b7a version under Red Hat Linux 6.2.
Is the emulation packet implemented in allinone? 
I've read it works with nse (extension of ns). What's nse and where can I
find it?
