[ns] Packetsize of traffic over TCP

Hi all,

I find that if I send packets over TCP (using one of the traffic generators: exponential) with a certain size (say 200 bytes) that on lower layers (MAC) this size is always changed to 1480 bytes !!!  I think this is strange. I think one should be able to send packets smaller than an (almost) MTU size packet over TCP. What am I missing ?

I sent a similar post earlier. But although I am a member of the list, I didn't receive any ns-mail for the last two days. I only receive one response to my earlier post, which was sent to me directly. I re-subscribed to the list, but please also sent replies to me directly.
