[ns]wireless transmissions

hey guys...  i was wondering if anyone knew where i could stick a little
line of code.  i already have the data structure set up and the function
to increment...  but i am now out of ideas on where to put the increment
call.  i am trying to count the number of times that a node checks the air
to see if it can transmit a packet.  i have checked the mac-802_11.cc
file, and tried a couple of places there, but it does not seem to be working.
