[ns] ns2.1b2 compilation problems

Hi all. I have been trying to install ns2.1b2 and i have managed to
configure most of the pieces. However I am not able to compile the ns
part. This is the error i get when i type 'make' in the ns-2.1b2 folder:

trace.cc: In method `void Trace::trace (TracedVar *)':
trace.cc:331: no matching function for call to `TracedVar::value
(char[256])'
/afs/eos.ncsu.edu/info/csc/mmtech/incoming/njshah/tclcl-1.0b11/tracedvar.h:52:

*TracedVar::value (char *, int)
make: *** [trace.o] Error 1

can someone pls help out on this one. I am really not a programmer and
hence haven't been able to figure this out.
