[ns] how to un-install ns2; also Bluehoc on ns-2.1b8

I downloaded and installed ns-2.1b8 (ns-allinone-2.1b8.tar.gz) on my Red Hat
7.1 with the intention of installing the BlueHoc 2 extention. The ns works
well but the Bluehoc 2.0 was meant to be used with a previous version of ns.
I get errors when I try to apply the patch supplied with BlueHoc, and cannot
'make' the ns afterwards. I would like to unistall the ns-2 v8 and install
ns2.1b7a instead.

How do I go about un-installing the ns v8?

Alternatively, is there a smarter way to get the BlueHoc to work with the
ns-2.1b8?
