[ns] Emulation with several nodes

Greetings!

I'm planning on running a little larger emulation. The emulation should
import traffic from about 4 other nodes, and act as a pretty large
network which connect those nodes. The emulation should concist of a
fairly large number of virtual nodes, and also some wireless links
(radio).

As I'm planning to purchase the system to run this emulation, I would
like some hints on what kind of machine i need to have. I'm already
aware that the machine should run FreeBSD.

Q. Should I have one network card for each external node?
Q. What kind of processor speed will it take to do real-time
simulations.
Q. Is there anything else I have to think about.
