The time
period of each state is deterministic and the transitions among
states
are
expressed with a set of probabilities. After the time designated for a state is
expired,
the
transition would be determined probabilically.

periods means deterministic duration of each state or mean duration of each
state?
if it is mean duration what is the stochastic
law of this duration?
