[ns] no target for slot 255 error..

Hi!
   Since I did not find this question posted in the archives I am positing
this - I am getting an error like this 

Classfier::no-slot{} default handler (tcl/lib/ns-lib.tcl) ---
        _o153: no target for slot 255

when I try to send a packet from one node to another in a wired network
using DV as routing protocol. I even checked whether the sending node has
route to the target and it does ( so no routing problem ). So can anyone
please explain me why this error occurs and how to fix it.
