Dear all,
I am working with diffserv and RED queues (Single Rate Three Color
Marker). I simulate a network with both multimedia over UDP (small packets)
and other applications over TCP (large packets), using one or more physical
queues.
What should be the value of meanPktSize in this case? Should it be derived
from a mathematical calculation that gives the average size of the packets
of my simulation or this is unsophisticated thinking? I mean, is this
variable used for anything else that calculating average length of the
queue?

    Many thanx for your time,
