[ns] How to set Phy/WirelessPhy parameters like a IEEE802.11b WLan

Could someone tell me how to set Phy/WirelessPhy
paramaters to work like a IEEE802.11b WLan?
Moreover, I tried to speed up WaveLucent Example in wireless2.tcl(Marc 
Greis tutorial on-line) configuration script by setting the variable 
bandwidth_ to 11e+6
but I don't notice any improvement in throughput.
I thought that this could depend from Mac bandwidth_ variable and I 
tried to set up it to the same value like that of Phy/WirelessPhy but 
without any result.
