[ns] Realistic jitter (or variance) value

Hi,
i would like to know what is a realistic value for the
end to end delay jitter of a transmission across a
network; what is an acceptable jitter value for a
streaming video ?
I am asking this in order to calibrate the model of
the network in my simulations.
