if {[expr $name] == "Tahoe"} {
          ^

if {$name == "Tahoe"} {
    ^
makes more sense, since there's nothing fancy in just $name
that really requires the use of expr.

that probably evaluates to zero... you might want to try reading a
book on Tcl.
