[ns] AODV ns-2 source code about neighbor

hi:

I am looking at AODV ns-2 source code, and find that
in AODV::nb_insert() and nb_delete(), there is one
line:

....
seqno += 1;
....

what is the meanding of this statement? what is the
use of it?
