That's a good work-around for the problem,
but I am still hoping that someone with a Sun
can tell us how to properly fix this problem, as described in
http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/archive/ns-users/webarch/2001/msg02308.html

Can someone with a SPARC suggest a fix?!

(It's clearly suboptimal to force people to manually change their
code, and yet who knows how else Sun has polluted the namespace...)
