[ns] Dynamic node creation...
Hi everybody!!
I am facing a problem that actually I do not know if it is solvable with ns.
The question is that I am making some multicast simulations and I need to
simulate the arrival of new receivers and the departure and some others in
some kind of Poisson process... The issue is that I do not know in advance how
many receivers I am going to have at the same time, so I can't create that
number of nodes to attach the receivers to... What I would like to do is that
each new receiver creates a new node and attaches itself to it... and upon
departure, the node is destroyed/erased... I guess all this can be done in
Otcl, but the mixing of tcl with OOP still escapes my skills... Does anyone
have a piece of code I could have a look to learn how to do it? Is it possible
to create and destroy nodes in the middle of a simulation? ... and finally,
not ns but nam related... if it is possible to do so... can you see it in Nam?
Thanks for the help!!
/Nacho
