[ns] problem of installing ns-allinone2.1b8a

Hi all
I download:
 ns-src-allinone-2.1b8a.tar.gz
Netx I gunzip and untar it on linux.
Next I type: ./install in the
root/ns2/ns-allinon2.1b8a
directory and ns be istall but when I run a example:
 ns simple.tcl
the simple.tcl do not run.
Please help me to solve this problem.
