Enquiry about ns (Network Simulator)

Hey,

I am going to install ns(Network Simulator) for doing some multicast
experiments for my PhD. I went through most of the ns stuffs on the net.
But I didn't found any list of platforms on which I can install and run
ns. I will be grateful if somebody can tell me on which platforms I can
run ns.
