[ns] An ns-contribution and regards
Hi all,
We have developed a distributed QoS network resource allocation scheme
that applies a hierarchy of agents to do resource negotiation, admission
control and policy adaptation, locally at domain level, over a diffserv
capable network.
I have implemented a big part of the scheme over the ns2 simulator. My
work is more or less complete for this stage and my contract here
finishes in about an hour or so ;-). The president of the department
kindly granted permission to release the code back to it's source, the
ns-users.
Qb is an experimental work and not a standard protocol, and strong
points and limitations are still figured out as current work. On the
other hand, since I was the developer of the code and, now that my
contract is finished, the ns implementation will be unsupported,.
Although the code has not reached a descent maturity level yet, I
decided to release the code at its current state. Please feel fre to
dowload it, try it, cannibalize it and use what you find useful for your
own code. On the other hand, if you do research on QoS and have some
comments on it, please drop a line to alexelis@hotmail.com ( As Greek
male's destiny has it, I have to serve my country's military service for
one year so I dont know how often I can read mail. The lab here will
still exist though)

Thank you for accompanying me through the mailing list the last 6
months. I hope after a year I have the chance to work together with you
again. Cheers and bye
