[ns] cmu-trace in tdma

I am looking at the test-suite-wireless-tdma.tcl at the moment.When the 
mobile node is created ($testName_-create-mobile-node $i) inside the 
for-loop in init, it calls the proc cmu-trace immediately. Why is that ?
