Description of SCADDS Testbeds

Publically Available Software

• Parapin -- A parallel port pin control library for Linux. Useful for using the parallel port as a generic digital I/O interface.
• Radiometrix RPC Device Drivers -- Linux device drivers for the RPC (Radio Packet Controller) model of radio manufactured by Radiometrix. The RPC is a fairly low-power, self-contained, short-range, plug-on radio.
• emlog -- A Linux kernel module that makes it easy to access the most recent (and only the most recent) output from a process. It works just like "tail -f" on a log file, except that the storage required never grows. Useful for logging in embedded devices.
• Diffusion 3.1.2 -- This is the latest release of directed diffusion that runs on Linux, WINSng 2.0. A variant of it also runs under ns-2.1b9 (see the ns release for that version).
• Diffusion Visualization Tools 1.0.0 -- A set of tools that allows diffusion users to display diffusion packet-level logging. More details can be obtained in the Visualization Tools page
• TinyDiffusion Release v0.1 -- First Release of TinyDiffusion on TinyOS.
